Khaled Al SAAI

Khaled Al Saai qui a étudié la calligraphie avec les maîtres Turque, crée des paysages de lettres et de mots, s’inspirant des couleurs environnantes. Bien en avance sur son temps, contemplatif et confiant il est non seulement l’un des moteurs dans la pratique de la calligraphie Arabe moderne, mais se fait également avocat passionné militant pour le rayonnement de cet art magnifique.

La reconnaissance de sa légitime place dans ce mode d’expression artistique lui vient non seulement de galeries, d’universités et de musées à travers le monde, mais aussi de collègues et amis calligraphes qui à de nombreuses occasions, lui ont attribué le titre de Maître de la Calligraphie, qu’elle soit contemporaine, moderne mais aussi traditionnelle. Au début, il lui a été difficile de sortir du dilemme, peintre ou calligraphe, jusqu’à ce qu’il en arrive à accepter que les deux pouvaient très bien vivre ensemble, et en s’appuyant sur les 7 piliers de la Calligraphie Arabe, Thuluth, Naskh, Tualeeq, Kufic, Diwani, Diwani Jali Jali, Khaled à développé sa peinture.

La fascination de Khaled pour l’écriture à débuté et s’est renforcée en grandissant en Syrie, dans une famille dont la créativité artistique visuelle, musicale et poétique était quotidiennement présente. Son oeuvre est souvent le reflet de ses émotions et de ses découvertes d’enfance.
